Google Nest x Lowes
Software Design

This B to B dashboard based software solution for Google Nest marketing team members focuses on giving the user clear, concise, and quick snapshots of data that can show how an in-store experience is performing.

The Problem

Google and Lowes are partnering to create an in-store experience that exposes customers to Google Nest products. I was tasked with creating a software solution for the Google Nest marketing team that allowed them to accomplish

their goals.

Google Nest marketing team needs

What are the demographics of those customers

purchasing products?

What products are selling the most?

What products sell best in pairs?

The Solution

Design an effective software solution that allows the Google Nest marketing team to monitor how consumers view and interact with different products while also fulfilling their needs for the software.

Design

There were three main phases of design throughout
this project.

Phase one (top image) focused on defining the overall function of the dashboard as well as defining some of the UI.

Phase two (middle image) focused on applying feedback and making changes that improved the software solution.

Phase three (bottom image) was mainly used to clean up the dashboard design and make minor tweaks. I also used this phase to work out the prototype, which you can view at the top of the page.

Wireframes

I was able to wireframe out core functions of the software. Since this was my first time designing a software solution, these wireframes were very important in understanding the basics of software design.
